Pearl CareAs with all cultured pearls, Broken Bay Pearls are precious jewels and need to be treated as such. Occasionally pearls need to be cleaned gently with a soft cloth dipped in mild soapy water. Then rinse the cloth in fresh water and wipe pearls clean. Dry with a soft cloth. Wait until after applying makeup, perfume and hair products to put on jewellery. Some chemicals may harm pearls. Don't allow pearls to rub against harder gems. This includes inside your jewellery box. Before putting your pearls away, after wearing, wipe pearl jewellery softly with a clean cloth. Strands will require restringing from time to time, depending on how often they are worn. These care instructions are shared with permission from Broken Bay Pearls. |

Diamond and gemstone careFor Pearl care please read the specific care instructions. Careful treatment of your jewellery will ensure you enjoy it for as long as possible. Stones should be checked by your jeweller periodically to ensure the setting is secure, as bumps and knocks can |

PhilanthropyAngelRock Jewellers is raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation. In January 2015 AngelRock Jewellers opened a handmade jewellery boutique in the Galleria beneath Cinema Paradiso, Ettalong. Celeste enjoyed introducing locals and visitors to the jewel in the Central Coast crown: Broken Bay Pearls. The sudden closure of the retail shop, in June 2016, was caused by the belated diagnosis of lymphoma, a type of blood cancer, which Celeste required urgent treatment for. Celeste and family were overwhelmed by the support of family, friends, customers and community organisations such as the Leukaemia Foundation. While ill, undergoing treatment and recovering from it, Celeste attended seeding and harvests at the pearl farm, where the Broken Bay Pearls team offered their customary friendly welcome. These days were a highlight, away from the many medical appointments. In recognition of the important work done by the Leukaemia Foundation, and out of gratitude that comes from first hand experience; a donation from the sale of all AngelRock Jewellers designs featuring Broken Bay Pearls is made to the Leukaemia Foundation. Throughout the year AngelRock Jewellers hosts raffles, and donates prizes of Broken Bay Pearls jewellery. Raffles will be advertised via social media. The tally of money raised will be updated throughout the year. AngelRock Jewellers has a current authority to fundraise, details available on request. Currently $400 has been raised and donated to the Leukaemia Foundation, (January - April 2018). |
